WHAT CAN YOGA DO FOR YOU?

Yoga strengthens your immune, nervous and glandular systems

I am a fully qualified yoga instructor teaching yoga in the Nottingham area for over 16 years.
My classes are based on Kundalini Yoga which is also known as 'The Mother Yoga' as it incorporates most of the other forms of yoga

The class format is as follows:-

Warm up - To ensure we don't cause any injuries we firstly stretch out and warm up our spines, abdominals and sciatic nerve

Perform a Kriya - A kriya is a series of exercises carried out in a particular sequence to achieve certain results.  For example one week we may perform a kriya to strengthen the heart, the following week a kriya to detox the body and another week to strengthen abdominals.  No two classes are the same, this allows us to gain a complete body workout both internally and externally.

Relaxation - For 5 minutes we have deep relaxation to allow all the hard work from the kriya to move around the body in a relaxed state, allowing it to benefit the body and mind.

Meditation - We finish each class with a 3 minute meditation. Meditation allows us to help calm and quieten our minds and teaches us how to de-stress mentally.



CLASSES START FROM JUST £6.50
It doesn't matter if you can't come every week, just come along whenever you can.


Don't worry if you aren't flexible, you don't have to be.  Yoga is all about you and your body.  You only do what is comfortable for you.  Don't worry what others around you are doing, it doesn't matter, just take things at your own pace.
Your flexibilty will improve in its own time, never force it.
I always demonstrate the postures and give easier variations so you perform the posture that is most comfortable for you.

IT IS MORE BENEFICIAL TO DO SOME YOGA RATHER THAN NO YOGA AT ALL!!!

HOT YOGA CLASSES 


THE HOT YOGA CLASSES ARE NOW BACK UP AND RUNNING AT

The hot yoga classes are suitable for all levels.

Please ensure that you have fuelled your body adequately enough to
be able to sustain the class.
Eat plenty of slow releasing carbohydrates and drink plenty
of water before taking part.
  It is advised not to eat 1 1/2 hours before attending a class.
Do not practise if you are on a low calorie diet or on meal replacement shakes.
This class is not suitable for expectant mums
and if you have high blood pressure, respiratory problems, or heart problems
please consult your doctor before attending.

It is adviseable to bring along 2 large towels, one for personal use and
the other to place on top of your mat.
Bring plenty of drinking water, you will need it!!
Wear light clothing.

Hot yoga increases suppleness and flexibilty. 
It can aid the ability to focus and relax more easily, therefore promoting
better sleep.
It will help you become a stronger, healthier you!
